Rasi (Zodiac Signs) in Vedic Astrology
In Indian Vedic Astrology (Jyotiṣa), the zodiac is divided into 12 Rasis (Signs). This division is based on astronomical observation, cosmic mathematics, seasonal cycles, human psychology, karma theory, and spiritual symbolism.
The word Rasi means “group,” “cluster,” or “division.” The entire zodiac belt of 360° is divided into 12 equal parts of 30° each.
Why Are There 12 Rasis?
